het San Franciscus Hotel wacht een uitgelaten<br />
menigte vol spanning op Gerald<br />
Ford, de 38ste Leider van de Vrije Wereld.<br />
Niemand heeft oog voor de vrouw die zich<br />
door de massa naar voor worstelt, met in<br />
haar handtas een afgedankte revolver,<br />
weggemoffeld tussen de kauwgom en de<br />
opgesteven zakdoeken. Billy, Sally, Jerry<br />
and the .38 gun zoomt in op een zo goed<br />
als vergeten moment uit de recente Amerikaanse<br />
geschiedenis waarop politiek,<br />
terrorisme en de Roze beweging elkaar onverwacht<br />

sous une chaleur torride. Sur le trottoir<br />
du San Franciscus Hotel, une foule en<br />
liesse attend Gerald Ford, le 38 e Leader<br />
du Monde Libre. Nul ne prête attention<br />
à la femme qui se fraie un chemin à travers<br />
la masse compacte, un vieux revolver<br />
planqué dans son sac entre le paquet de<br />
chewing-gum et les mouchoirs amidonnés.<br />
Billy, Sally, Jerry and the .38 gun se<br />
focalise sur un moment presqu’oublié du<br />
passé récent de l’Amérique, quand politique,<br />
terrorisme et mouvement homosexuel<br />
se sont brusquement téléscopés.<br />

crowd eagerly awaits the arrival of Gerald<br />
Ford, the 38 th leader of the Free World.<br />
Nobody notices the woman who tries to<br />
push her way to the front, carrying within<br />
her purse an old revolver, tucked away between<br />
her chewing gum and a couple of<br />
starched handkerchiefs. Billy, Sally, Jerry<br />
and the .38 gun zooms in on an almost<br />
forgotten event in recent American history<br />
when politics, terrorism and the Gay<br />
Rights Movement unexpectedly collided.<br />
