ASRTU has decided to extend the sponsorship of Rs 35 lakhs for training officials of STUs through the MDPs conducted by CIRT during the year 2013-14. The criteria of limiting would be on first-come-first-served basis. TA/DA and other allowances of participants shall be borne by respective STUs as per their eligibility. Please Note :- 8 A) For Participants from STUs : The sponsorship for participants is limited. Any further participation would be chargeable according to the above fee structure. Once the limit of 35 lakhs is reached, the applicable course fee & Service Tax (presently @ 12.36% or as notified by the Government of India periodically) has to be remitted in advance by a demand draft / cheque drawn in favour of “Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune” along with the nomination or sent with the nominated officer at the time of reporting for the programme. B) For Participants from Non-STU Organisations : Participants shall not be allowed to attend the training programme if the course fee is not remitted in advance with the nomination or sent along with the nominated officers. The course fee includes tuition, course material, lodging and boarding in the Institute's premises. No local transport facility is provided by the Institute, for pick up / drop or any miscellaneous duties from the airport/ railway station/ bus terminals in Pune.
MDP No 01 MDP No 02 Training Period : Three days, 05 – 07 Aug 13 Programme Objectives (a) Introduction to tubeless & radial tyres. (b) Identify the various factors affecting tyre life & suggest measures for reducing tyre consumption, so as to achieve lower cost per km on tyres & tubes. (c) Assess merits of conventional & cold (precured) retreading process from viewpoint of tyre economy. (d) Discuss emerging technologies in diesel engines. (e) Identify factors affecting fuel & oil consumption & pollution levels with special emphasis on controlling the same. Participant Profile Officers from STUs, Government transport departments, motor vehicle department and private transport organizations. Programme Director : Mr Ashish Misra TYRE, FUEL & OIL ECONOMY Training Period : One week, 19-23 Aug 13 Programme Objectives (a) Provide an integrated view of managing State Transport Undertakings, highlighting the importance of customer satisfaction & features of competition. (b) Establish the depot as a key centre of performance. (c) Discuss various management techniques. (d) Equip participants with the know-how of the various functional areas of transport management. (e) Develop managerial skills of the participants. Participant Profile DEPOT MANAGEMENT Depot managers / branch managers, traffic managers, mechanical engineers & others likely to be posted as depot managers in State Transport Undertakings.
