Programme Objectives<br />
(a) Familiarise the participants with bus body code & bus body accreditation systems.<br />
(b) An overview on technical specification <strong>of</strong> bus bodies and roll over testing <strong>of</strong> bus bodies.<br />
(c) Understand the use <strong>of</strong> various s<strong>of</strong>tware (finite element analysis (FEA) and use <strong>of</strong> 2D & 3D systems)<br />
for evaluation <strong>of</strong> bus bodies.<br />
(d) Familiarise with A/C systems for buses.<br />
(e) Understand the legislative requirements <strong>of</strong> bus body designs in India.<br />

BUS BODY DESIGNS - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION & EVALUATION<br />
Works mangers, mechanical engineers, R & D engineers from bus body building workshops <strong>of</strong> STUs,<br />
depot managers from STUs, design/production engineers/<strong>of</strong>ficers from bus body builders & vehicle<br />
manufacturers.<br />

(a) Provide basic overview on road safety issues in view <strong>of</strong> the alarming increase in vehicular<br />
population and road accident.<br />
(b) Insight into the transportation system management (TSM) techniques.<br />
(c) Overview <strong>of</strong> the engineering & legislative measures for road safety.<br />
(d) Discuss measures for improving road safety education levels among the public.<br />
(e) Explain the road engineering measures for road safety.<br />
(f) Discuss the ITS applications for improving road safety.<br />
