If you are looking for information that is not available in this <strong>H<strong>and</strong>book</strong>, here are some<br />

suggestions as to where to find it.<br />

Study Guide<br />

Each Faculty has a Study Guide (University College: Course Catalogue). The Studyguide/<br />

course catalogue is the definitive information source for all academic issues such as<br />

schedules, grade requirements, examination rules etc. The Study guide is only available on<br />

ELEUM.<br />

EleUM<br />

EleUM, used throughout the university, contains constantly updated information <strong>and</strong><br />

announcements for students. Check there for any university related issues.<br />

<strong>Student</strong> Services<br />

The <strong>Student</strong> Services Centre <strong>of</strong>fers a number <strong>of</strong> services <strong>and</strong> support with regard to<br />

admission <strong>and</strong> registration, visa <strong>and</strong> scholarships, student guidance, student housing,<br />

sports, culture <strong>and</strong> spiritual guidance.<br />

General Counsellors/ Academic Counsellors<br />

Faculties <strong>and</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Services provide student advisors <strong>and</strong> a student dean to help students<br />

navigate the university as well as the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Maastricht</strong>.<br />

Check their contact information <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice hours at the information desk <strong>and</strong> make an<br />

appointment.<br />

In addition to the Academic Calendar, UM also has a full <strong>and</strong> exciting Social Agenda.<br />

Here you find a calendar to help you organise your social time throughout the year. Some<br />

public <strong>and</strong> university events are already labelled (see chapter 10 for details <strong>of</strong> social events<br />

<strong>and</strong> chapter 5 for sport events). The rest you will have to find <strong>and</strong> fill in yourself! Good luck!<br />
