For Jerry Bruckheimer <strong>Film</strong>s and Walt Disney Pictures, GEORGE MARSHALL RUGE’s<br />

(Stunt Coordinator) thrilling stunt work has been seen in “Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: The<br />

Curse <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Black Pearl,” which won him an American Choreography Award,” “Pirates<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” “Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: At World’s End,”<br />

“National Treasure,” “National Treasure: Book <strong>of</strong> Secrets” and “The Sorcerer’s<br />

Apprentice.” Ruge was <strong>the</strong> stunt coordinator/action designer on Peter Jackson’s “The<br />

Lord <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rings” trilogy, which included some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> most ambitious and complex<br />

action sequences in motion picture history.<br />

CHARLES GIBSON (Visual Effects Supervisor), along with colleagues John Knoll, Hal<br />

Hickel and Allen Hall, won <strong>the</strong> visual effects Academy Award® and a BAFTA Award for<br />

“Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” He was also nominated for his work on<br />

“Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: At World’s End” with fellow collaborators John Knoll, Hal<br />

Hickel and John Frazier. Gibson is a longtime collaborator <strong>of</strong> director Gore Verbinski,<br />

beginning with commercials and continuing through <strong>the</strong> features “Mousehunt,” “The<br />

Ring,” “The Wea<strong>the</strong>r Man,” “Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: The Curse <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Black Pearl,”<br />

“Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean: At World’s<br />

End. Gibson was also nominated for an Academy Award for his work on George Miller<br />

and Chris Noonan’s “Babe.”<br />

Gibson has also served as visual effects supervisor on such films as “The Green Mile,”<br />

“Dr. T and <strong>the</strong> Women,” “The Majestic,” “Murder by Numbers” and Steven Spielberg’s<br />

“The Terminal” and “Terminator Salvation.”<br />

JOHN FRAZIER (Special Effects Coordinator) returns to “Pirates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Caribbean” after<br />

his work on <strong>the</strong> first three films, including an Academy Award® for “Dead Man’s Chest.”<br />

He was born on September 23, 1944 in Richmond, California. As a child, his family<br />

moved to Sou<strong>the</strong>rn California, where he was raised. He attended Canoga Park High<br />

School and attended college at Los Angeles Trade Tech, where he studied high-rise<br />

construction and freeway design. In 1963 he began designing special effects props at <strong>the</strong><br />

Haunted House nightclub in Hollywood. The owner recognized his skills, and got Frazier<br />

a job at NBC.<br />

In 1970, he joined Local 44 and began working on special effects for motion pictures. He<br />

has been <strong>the</strong> special effects coordinator and/or supervisor on more than 40 films, and<br />

has been honored with Academy Award® nominations for “Twister,” “Armageddon,”<br />

“The Perfect Storm,” “Pearl Harbor” and “Spider-Man,” before finally winning in 2005<br />

for “Spider-Man 2.” He was nominated once again in 2006 for his work on “Poseidon.”<br />
