Chapter IV Cum Laude For students who started their Bachelor’s study before 1 September 2013 the “old” Cum Laude rule applies. The Bachelor’s exam of free bachelor's exam is passed with distinction if the candidate has obtained a weighted and not rounded average score of at least 8.0 for all parts of the Bachelor’s exam (first-year and final exam) on condition that no resit exams have been taken and none of the grades obtained is below 7.0, ‘No Grade’ or a Fail. Chapter V Name change EBE specialisation Infonomics As of 1 September 2013 the name for the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Economics, specialisation in Infonomics (INF) will change to Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Economics, specialisation Economics and Management of Information (INF). Students who graduate after 1 September 2013 will receive the new name on their Bachelor’s Degree. 46
Appendix III Rules of Procedure and Conduct during examinations Rules of Procedure for Examinations Rules of Procedure apply to ensure equal opportunities and suitable circumstance for students sitting their examinations. These Rules of Procedure are applicable to all written examinations held at the locations appointed for this purpose by or on behalf of the Board of Examiners of the faculty or school offering the examination. Definitions: - Examination coordinator: the person who is responsible for scheduling and organising a written examination on behalf of a faculty or school; - The invigilator/head invigilator (authorised by the Board of Examiners): the person who is responsible on behalf of the examination coordinator of a faculty or school for overseeing compliance to the Rules of Procedure at the location of the examination; - Lecturer with power of examination (examiner): lecturer appointed on behalf of a faculty or school to administer the examination. 1. If a student violates the Rules of Procedure, the examination coordinator or the invigilator/head invigilator can decide, on the grounds of the fraud article in the Education and Examination Regulations in conjunction with the Regulations and Guidelines, to exclude the student from taking any further part in the examination. A student who has been refused entry to the examination hall will not be awarded any results for the examination in question. 2. The student is obliged to follow the instructions given by the examination coordinator or the invigilator/head invigilator at all times. 3. A place is reserved for each student that registered for the exam in accordance with the registration procedure. 4. The examination hall is opened at least 15 minutes before the examination. Students are informed at the entrance of the hall of their allocated seat and may take their place as soon as the hall is opened. 5. After the official start of the examination, students are not given admittance to the hall where the examination is held. Regardless of the reason, students are no longer entitled to take part in the examination. 6. Students may not leave the room until 30 minutes after the official start of the examination. After this time, students may submit their examination to their course invigilator. After students have provided proof of identity (see Art. 8), they must leave the room as quickly and quietly as possible. As soon as students have handed in their examination and left the room, they will not be allowed to re-enter the hall. Answer forms must be handed in by the official end of the examination or as indicated by the head invigilator. 47
