been published from locality 1 (Degelius
1932), locality 2 (Ahlner 1938, Degelius
1954), locality 3 (Ahlner 1938, Degelius
1932), and in Santesson (1984) Endocarpon
psorodeum is reported as new to Sweden from
locality 5. All of the previously published
lichen species were not found on the
excursions. The most interesting species
reported earlier is perhaps Collema curtispontm
from locality 2 (Degelius 1954). We
did not rediscover this species. Some interesting
vascular plants have been reported
from locality 4 (Rune 1953) and locality 5
(Stenberg & Westerberg 1983).
The species list
Seven localities were visited during the
meeting (see visited localities). Material
collected from two localities on the
reconnaissance excursions in 1988 and 1990
have been included in the list. The participants
of the excursions were in 1988 Per Anders
Esseen, Jan-Eric Mattsson, Roland Moberg
and Goran Thor, in 1990 Per Anders Esseen,
Per-Olof Martinsson and Goran Thor. A
total of 558 ta,xa were collected or observed of
which 2 are new to Sweden and 92 are new to
Asele Lappmark. The species list includes
both collected species (always marked with the
acronym of the collector) and species only
observed in the field (lacking acronym). Some
field determinations which should be
confirmed with collected material - have been
excluded from the species list. For some
species short notes on the chemistry or the
habitat are given. In addition to lichens, the
family Mycocaliciaceae and some lichenicolous
fungi have been included. I have tried to use
up-to-date names. The names used by
Santesson (1984) are given as synonyms when
they differ from the names in the list.
Contributions to the species list were
