FIGURE 2: Customer Window: Key Areas for Improvement
GANNAWARRA SHIRE ANNUAL REPORT 2011
CUSTOMER WINDOW RESULTS
The Customer Window provided as
part of the survey results links
performance in service provision with
the relative importance of each service
area to the community.
These results are useful in assessing
where resources could be best
allocated to improve services and
identify which services are most
important to the community.
The window below shows Advocacy,
Town Planning and Community
Engagement as service areas where
Council performs well and where
improvements have been made in the
past year. Seven of the 12 areas are in
the quadrant of Maintaining Existing
Performance, where Council has also
performed well.
Both Local Roads and Footpaths, and
Economic Development, are listed as
areas for improvement. However,
community satisfaction with Roads
and Footpaths has remained steady
compared to the previous year despite
the difficulty of putting programs in
place in the midst of floods when staff
and resources are engaged in flood
emergency, relief and recovery works.
In addition, satisfaction with Economic
Development has increased five points
from 2010 and is consolidating
toward an area of strength.
