SMOKING MAY BE HAZARDOUS
— Charles Mulhurn, 54, stands in front
of his burned out home at 4826 Asbury
av., with Deputy Fire Chief Robert
Hart early last Saturday morning.
Mulhurn escaped through a back
bedroom window, but his dog, which
perished in the fire, wasn't so lucky.
Adjourned before noon
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1971
Fire Chief Ferdinand Taccarino said
the fire apparently started from a
discarded cigarette left in the living
room while Mulhurn slept. The two
bedroom bungalow was totally gutted
by the blaze which was fought by two
engine companies. (Counsellor Photo)
Surveys show:
4 out of 5 standout
lawns are fed in the Fall!
Three independent surveys were conducted this past Spring
among lawnowners. Results showed that 4 but of 5 standout
lawns were fertilized in the Fall, when Nature helps
most.
TURF BUILDER is the fertilizer we
highly recommend for Fall fertilizing.
It releases its nutrients only
as fast as the grass can use them.
So there's no spindly surge growth
to cause extra mowing. Instead,
TURF BUILDER produces a thicker,
greener, sturdier lawn'— this Fall
and next Spring too.
