To All Our Residential Customers:
Recent conditions of natural
gas supply nationally have caused
certain curtailments in adding new
^ust^iners, biit our existing customers
can be assured that our
supply is adequate to take care of all
their needs.
One of the restrictions announced
July 15, 1971 was that
natural gas customers wishing to
convert from other fuels to. gas
for heating had to do so by Sept.
15. This means there will be no
conversions permitted as such from
this date on until the supply situation
improves. In the meantime, we
will take requests on a priority basis
from customers who wish to convert
to gas heat.
In other words, if you plan
to convert to gas heat, you must
sign up at your nearest New Jersey
Natural Gas Company office
and be put on the waiting list. As an

"first come, first served'* basis.
As a protection to all our customers
and in the interest of fair
play, if a customer installs gas heat
without authorization, New Jersey
Natural Gas Company will discontinue
gas heating service.
The gas supply situation is
showing signs of improving, and
you can be sure that your gas company
is doing all it can, first, to
make certain existing customers are
adequately supplied, and secondly,
to make as much gas available as
possible for new customers.
