(c ) Location Specific: All the land described (or formerly described) in Certificate of Title Volume 09901 Folio<br />

324 and also described as Lot B LP 214468<br />

Specific Objectives:<br />

To ensure that all rateable land makes an equitable financial contribution to cost of carrying out the functions<br />

of council, including the:<br />

(a) construction and maintenance of public infrastructure<br />

(b) development and provision of health and community services<br />

(c) provision of general support services<br />

(d) management of environmentally sensitive land<br />

Also specifically in respect of the Point land (as defined in this differential rate scheme) to maintain and to<br />

accommodate a range of development and uses around an existing waterway and a constructed lake and<br />

canal system.<br />

7. Late Licensed Premises Land – means any land that:<br />

(a) Has the characteristics of Commercial Land; and<br />

(b) Has a licence under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 to supply liquor for consumption at those<br />

premises past 1.00am on at least one night of the week.<br />

Specific Objectives:<br />

To ensure that all rateable land makes an equitable financial contribution to cost of carrying out the functions<br />

of council, including the:<br />

(a) offset of costs (direct and indirect) referable to the late night trading of Late Licensed Premises Land,<br />

which includes but not limited to, the cost of:<br />

i) street sweeping; and<br />

ii)<br />

vandalism; and<br />

iii) litter collection; and<br />

iv) safe taxi rank; and<br />

(b) provide equitable and appropriate services and facilities for the community and to ensure that those<br />

services and facilities are managed efficiently and effectively; and<br />

(c) promote the interest of the community and to be responsive to the needs of the community.<br />

8. Industrial Land – means any land that:<br />

(a) Does not have the characteristics of:<br />

i) Farm Land; or<br />

ii) Vacant Land; or<br />

iii) Commercial Land; or<br />

iv) Petroleum Production Land; or<br />

v) Aluminium Production Land; or<br />

vi) Automobile Manufacture Land; and<br />

(b) Is used predominantly for industrial purposes which includes manufacturing, repairing, servicing,<br />

processing and reprocessing.<br />

9. Mixed Use Land – means any land that:<br />

(a) Has the characteristics of Residential Land combined with the characteristics of Commercial Land or<br />

Industrial Land; and<br />

(b) Is not used exclusively for Residential and/or Commercial and/or Industrial purposes.<br />
