EXAMPLE:<br />

An L6C, 7.5 kW motor must work in water at a temperature of 45°C.<br />

Motor power at 50°C = 7.5 x 0.8 = 6 kW<br />

EXAMPLE:<br />

An MC8-75, 55 kW motor must work in water at a temperature of 35°C.<br />

Motor power at 35°C = 55 x 0.74 = 40.7 kW<br />

EXAMPLE:<br />

A <strong>Z855</strong> 06-F6 pump must pump water at a temperature of 50°C.<br />

The power input can be determined from the diagram relating to the pump.<br />

Pa = Power per stage x no. of stages = 4.6 x 6 = 27.6 kW<br />

The pump requires a 30 kW motor.<br />

Power requirement at 50°C = 30 x 1.32 = 39.6 kW<br />
