the Daily Field Reports and Monitoring Forms, and will be included in the Final Report for
Cell 1 final cover construction.
The top of the cover drainage layer on the central North Slope and top slope of Cell 1 has
been surveyed and certified by Lynn E. Hirsch, P.L.S of David E. Estes Engineering, Inc. of
Cincinnati, Ohio, the Contractor’s surveyor. The survey certification data (except for Points
183, 186 and 225) have been reviewed by GeoSyntec and found to be within the tolerance of
0.0 to +0.1 feet of the thicknesses indicated on the Construction Drawings and required by
Section 027 10 of the Technical Specifications. Survey certification for Points 183,186 and 225
needs to be re-checked to ensure that thickness requirement (accounting for slope factor) is met
for those points.
Based on the information presented above, GeoSyntec concludes that the top of the cover
drainage layer on the central North Slope and top slope of Cell 1 , with the exception of the area
around Points 183. 186 and 225, is acceptable and ready for placement of the biointrusion
barrier layer. The attached sketch shows the limits of the Cell 1 final cover that is ready for
biointrusion barrier layer placement. (Note that west slope was accepted on 24 August 200 1 .)
