Metal Vision Frames Porthole Frames, Glass, Glazing Tape and Liners The circular vision frames with their clean lines enhance the appearance of any door. This flush fitting design is available in stainless steel or chrome pearlite silver* plating on steel. Ideal for luxury office suites, corridor doors, classrooms etc. The fixings are around the bevel and not directly on the face - improving the visual appearance. The flush fitting rim is ideal for ‘clean room’ situations. Security fixing on one side only prevents unauthorised tampering yet, in the event of glass breakage, allows easy replacement. Available in 4 different door cut-outs: 250 mm, 350 mm, 450 mm and 550 mm. Varying glass types are available for each of the sizes, together with glazing tapes and liners. Slimport vision frames are fully tested to one hour by Warrington Fire Research Centre in accordance with BS 476: Part 20: 1987 Frames to suit 47-51 mm and 52-56 mm door thicknesses are available to order, subject to quantity - information on request TCH-AI 2008, HUK. Metal Vision Frames Porthole frames, Glass, Glazing Tape and Liners 4 A Intumescent glazing tape • For fitting to both sides of glass before it is sandwiched between the porthole frames • Available in four thicknesses to suit varying door and glass thicknesses • For 1/2 hour and 1 hour fire rated timber doors • In the event of fire, the tape starts to intumesce at 176°C expanding 6-8 times its volume ensuring the integrity of the door and porthole frame • For steel fire rated doors, requiring greater than 60 minute fire ratings, use ceramic tape, which ensures the glass does not slump at higher temperatures • Ceramic tape should be subjected to 50% compression • 2438 mm length roll • With PSA backing Size Type Cat.
