Gira Radio Bus System
Transmitters
Movement-dependent light control
via radio: Ideal for subsequent installation
in passageways such as stairwells and foyers.
Application example:
TCH-AI 2008, HUK. Dimensional data not binding. We reserve the right to alter specifications without notice.
A Radio observer 180/16
• Wall mounted
• Operated by 9V block battery (not included), therefore requires no supply
cable and can be installed in any location
• Reacts to heat movement and sends this information to the receiver of the
radio bus system (receivers shown on pages 206-208)
• When using radio power section D as a receiver, the power on time and
brightness can be set
• Switches on receiver at an ambient brightness of below 80 lux with delay
period of 1 minute
• Semi-circular area of detection 16 x 32 m with 144 switching segments on
3 levels - area of detection can be reduced using cover screens (included)
• Technical specification:
Mounting plate dimensions: 80 x 68 mm
Battery: 9V alkaline block battery (not included)
Radius of detection: 180º
Working range: 3-80 lux, normal operation
Evaluation: 3-200 lux, post triggering
Recommended installation height: 2.4 m
Transmission frequency: 433.42 MHz
Range: Approx. 100 m (free field)
Temperature range: -25ºC to +55ºC
Protection type: IP55
Finish
Pure white
Cat. No. 985.54.407
Order qty: 1 pc
B Radio presence detector
• Ceiling mounted
• Monitors Ø 8 metre area
• When brightness level drops below value set and when movement sensed,
radio presence detector activates receiver to switch on the light (receivers
shown on pages 206-208)
• In conjunction with a dimmer (shown on page 207), it can adjust the lighting
to a constant value
• When using radio power section D as a receiver, the power on time and
brightness can be set
• If no movement can be recognized or if it is bright enough, the radio actuator
is switched off, and thus also the light
• This functionality is convenient and saves energy, e.g. at the workplace or
in the conference room.
• Technical specification:
Dimensions (Ø x height): Ø 103 x 43 mm
Power supply: 6V DC
Batteries: 4x AAA (LR03) alkaline - not included
Range of detection: 360º
Installation height: 2.5 m
Time duration: Approx. 2 mins to 1 hour
Brightness: Approx. 3-2000 lux
Transmission frequency: 433.42 MHz
Range: Approx. 100 m (free field)
Temperature range: 0°C to +45°C
Protection type: IP 20
Radio switching
actuator
C Radio automatic control switch
• 55 x 55 mm insert, to suit Event, Esprit and E2 cover frames shown on
page 192, but not in metallic frames, i.e. aluminium Esprit frame
• Can also be integrated in Standard 55 frames - information on request
• When brightness level drops below value set and when movement sensed,
radio automatic control switch activates receiver to switch on the light
(receivers shown on pages 206-208)
• In conjunction with a dimmer (shown on page 207), it can adjust the llighting
to a constant value
• When using radio power section D as a receiver, the power on time, the
brightness and delay time can be set
• Features:
Walking test mode
Battery status display
Brightness value can be set from approx. 0 to 80 lux or daytime operation
Sensitivity can be set from 100% to 20%
With an installation height of 1.10 m: Range 10 m frontal, 6 m to each side,
angle of detection 180°
• Technical specification:
Power supply: 3V DC
D Radio power section, surface mounted
• For use with radio observer A, radio presence detector B or automatic
control switch C
• Receives signal from transmitter (item A, B or C) and switches lights on
and then off again after the set time delay has expired
• Can be combined with up to 30 additional radio observers
• Especially useful for times when observer function needs to be disabled
e.g. for a garden party, can ensure lighting stays switched on
• Switch on time: From 10 seconds to 15 minutes
• Brightness sensor: 3 to 80 lux
• Up to 30 radio channels can be allocated to the radio power unit
• Technical specification:
Dimensions (width x height x depth): 110 x 94 x 38 mm
