6.4 Firmware Update – Firmware Download<br />
The section describes how to do a Firmware Update.<br />
Step A:<br />
‣ Start the System Configurator SyCon with Start > Programs > SyCon<br />
System Configurator > SyCon<br />
Step B:<br />
‣ Open an existing project/configuration file with the menu File > Open.<br />
The extension is *.nd.<br />
or<br />
‣ Create a configuration as it is described in steps 2, 3 and 4 in section<br />
Creating and downloading the Configuration from page 24.<br />
Step C:<br />
‣ With the menu Settings > Device Assignment create a connection to<br />
the device. This is describes in detail in Step 5 in section Creating and<br />
downloading the Configuration from page 24.<br />
Step D:<br />
‣ Select the menu Online > Firmware Download.<br />
A safety question is displayed.<br />

If the download must not be executed:<br />
‣ Select the button No.<br />
The download is not executed.<br />
If the download must be executed:<br />
‣ Select the button Yes.<br />
The window Firmware Copy/Download is displayed.<br />
