Battery<br />
Battery care<br />
Your battery is designed to last up to three years. Follow these<br />
tips on battery care:<br />
• Never recharge the battery in temperatures below 0°C or<br />
above 40° C.<br />
• Allow enough time for <strong>MOD</strong> to warm up and reach<br />
ambient room temperature before you recharge.<br />
• Never use a different AC adapter and USB cable than what<br />
was shipped with <strong>MOD</strong>.<br />
• Use DISPLAY OFF mode when you aren’t checking looking<br />
at the dashboard or stats.<br />
Recharging<br />
the battery<br />
NOTE: Whenever the battery warning popup appears, your<br />
unit will be automatically shut down unless you recharge it<br />
immediately.<br />
Recharge the battery immediately to avoid losing data. The<br />
battery must be recharged within ten days.<br />
Before You Start<br />
• Use the Recon AC adapter and USB cable included in the<br />
<strong>MOD</strong> box. Check that the AC cable says Recon Instruments.<br />
• Check that the port on your PC or Mac is a USB 2.0 port<br />
(not a keyboard port).<br />
