When the radio receives an LL position request, it will beep to alert you. The LCD screen will<br />

display, the position request, and the caller’s MMSI. The radio will show that the reply facility is<br />

OFF. Press ack<br />

If the radio recognizes the user MMSI as one of your buddies, your buddy’s name is displayed.<br />

Your radio can automatically or manually reply to the incoming caller depending on the<br />

INDIV REPLY settings.<br />

Press ENTER to send an acknowledgement to the incoming caller, or LHR-80<br />

automatically sends an acknowledgement to the caller. This stops the two-tone alert.<br />

The radio automatically detects the channel of the incoming call.<br />

The caller should respond, you can press PTT to initiate contact.<br />

When you receive GPS position data from a buddy in response to your LL request, you are<br />

recommended make note of it - especially if it is a good fishing position.<br />

If enhanced LL position information is available, it is shown on the LCD until the display<br />

changes.<br />
