AWARDS<br />
& SCHOLARSHIP$<br />
Registered <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong> in grades 9–12 are eligible to apply for<br />
11 council scholarships. The scholarship applications will be posted on<br />
the <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eastern</strong> PA website by September 1, 2012. Some <strong>of</strong> the awards<br />
are scholarships for college, while others are for recognition <strong>of</strong> contributions to<br />
the community. Each award has different requirements and applications. This<br />
application process is open to all members who meet the criteria <strong>of</strong> the awards<br />
that are <strong>of</strong>fered. Please note the timeline below to participate.<br />

Scholarship applications can be found under the ‘For <strong>Girl</strong>s’<br />
section <strong>of</strong> www.gsep.org. You can also find “A Scholarship and<br />
Award Guide” on the same webpage. The guide includes a list<br />
<strong>of</strong> colleges that provide scholarships to girls who earned<br />
the <strong>Girl</strong> Scout Gold Award, as well as other state and<br />
national scholarship and award information. Award<br />
proposals can be sent to girlawards@gsep.org.<br />
