Lawrence, Henry Mercer’s aunt, and experience<br />

a typical day in the life <strong>of</strong> a Victorian lady.<br />

You will write a page in her diary, learn proper<br />

etiquette, create Victorian calling cards,<br />

and make fans. Sew buttons, play parlor<br />

games, and take part in a Victorian tea<br />

party. Relates to Playing the Past badge.<br />

call home. All animals need the right habitat<br />

in order to survive. Learn about the many<br />

needs <strong>of</strong> local wildlife with hands-on activities,<br />

nature exploration, live animals, and a service<br />

project that will improve the habitat <strong>of</strong> our local<br />

animals. Relates to Animal Habitats badge.<br />

Come and explore Gettysburg, the site <strong>of</strong><br />

the largest battle <strong>of</strong> the Civil War. Visit the<br />

National Park Museum and take a guided bus<br />

tour <strong>of</strong> the battlefield, focusing on stories <strong>of</strong><br />

the civilians who lived there. Spend time in<br />

the historic town <strong>of</strong> Gettysburg touring the<br />

Jennie Wade House and the Shriver House<br />

Museum. Hear all about Tillie Pierce, a 15<br />

year old girl who lived in Gettysburg during<br />

the battle and wrote a diary. Top <strong>of</strong>f your<br />

day with a “Ghosts <strong>of</strong> Gettysburg” tour.<br />
