Make A “Hole” Lot of Difference<br />

Golfers, get your drivers ready for this year’s fourth annual MLR Open<br />

<strong>To</strong>urnament benefiting <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>To</strong> <strong>Hope</strong> for the second consecutive year.<br />

The MLR Open <strong>To</strong>urnament was started in 2008 by friends<br />

of Michelle Levison Rosch, a breast cancer survivor, and<br />

her husband Mike who wanted to make a difference in the<br />

lives of women struggling with breast cancer.<br />

<strong>Gateway</strong> to <strong>Hope</strong> is grateful to Michelle and her family for<br />

again choosing GTH as the beneficiary of their fabulous<br />

and fun tournament.“We raised over $60,000 last year. By<br />

giving the tournament’s proceeds to <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>To</strong> <strong>Hope</strong>, I<br />

felt we were making a difference where the results would<br />

be clearly visible,” Michelle said.<br />

The MLR Open <strong>To</strong>urnament will take place at Forest Park<br />

Golf Course on September 23, 2011. The day’s event will<br />

include lunch, 18 holes of golf, and a seated dinner in<br />

Forest Park’s Champion room. Michelle’s sister in-law, April<br />

Levison, will chair the 2011 tournament. Individuals interested<br />

in participating can register at www.mlropen.com. Tickets<br />

are $140 per person and include lunch, golf, and dinner. If<br />

you would like to attend just the dinner, tickets are $50 per<br />

person. Don’t miss out on this inspiring event!<br />

KMOX “Voice<br />

of Caring”<br />

KMOX Voice of Caring selected <strong>Gateway</strong> to <strong>Hope</strong> as it’s partner for<br />

January, 2011. KMOX takes nominations for the partnership and<br />

chooses one non-profit organization per month to feature. GTH<br />

received a public service announcement on KMOX for the entire<br />

month of January, a page on their website plus a Saturday morning<br />

interview. Thanks, KMOX, for all your support.<br />

<strong>Gateway</strong> to <strong>Hope</strong> is proud to announce that two of our<br />

board members, Pam <strong>To</strong>der and Fran Zamler, are<br />

recipients of the 2011 Women of Achievement Award.<br />

The St. Louis Women of Achievement Award serves<br />

to recognize and thank volunteer efforts of women in<br />

St. Louis. Pam and Fran are two of ten women<br />

chosen to receive the award in 2011.<br />

This year’s Women of Achievement honorees will be<br />

presented at a special luncheon on Tuesday May 10,<br />

2011 from 11:45 am to 2pm at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.<br />

Tickets for the luncheon are $60, and reservations can<br />

be made by sending your name and check to Women<br />

of Achievement, 801 North Second Street,<br />

St. Louis, MO 63102.<br />
