Make A “Hole” Lot of Difference
Golfers, get your drivers ready for this year’s fourth annual MLR Open
Tournament benefiting Gateway To Hope for the second consecutive year.
The MLR Open Tournament was started in 2008 by friends
of Michelle Levison Rosch, a breast cancer survivor, and
her husband Mike who wanted to make a difference in the
lives of women struggling with breast cancer.
Gateway to Hope is grateful to Michelle and her family for
again choosing GTH as the beneficiary of their fabulous
and fun tournament.“We raised over $60,000 last year. By
giving the tournament’s proceeds to Gateway To Hope, I
felt we were making a difference where the results would
be clearly visible,” Michelle said.

The MLR Open Tournament will take place at Forest Park
Golf Course on September 23, 2011. The day’s event will
include lunch, 18 holes of golf, and a seated dinner in
Forest Park’s Champion room. Michelle’s sister in-law, April
Levison, will chair the 2011 tournament. Individuals interested
in participating can register at www.mlropen.com. Tickets
are $140 per person and include lunch, golf, and dinner. If
you would like to attend just the dinner, tickets are $50 per
person. Don’t miss out on this inspiring event!

KMOX “Voice
of Caring”
KMOX Voice of Caring selected Gateway to Hope as it’s partner for
January, 2011. KMOX takes nominations for the partnership and
chooses one non-profit organization per month to feature. GTH
received a public service announcement on KMOX for the entire
month of January, a page on their website plus a Saturday morning
interview. Thanks, KMOX, for all your support.
Gateway to Hope is proud to announce that two of our
board members, Pam Toder and Fran Zamler, are
recipients of the 2011 Women of Achievement Award.
The St. Louis Women of Achievement Award serves
to recognize and thank volunteer efforts of women in
St. Louis. Pam and Fran are two of ten women
chosen to receive the award in 2011.
This year’s Women of Achievement honorees will be
presented at a special luncheon on Tuesday May 10,
2011 from 11:45 am to 2pm at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Tickets for the luncheon are $60, and reservations can
be made by sending your name and check to Women
of Achievement, 801 North Second Street,
