Key to the Cure Goes “3D”
A shopping evening at Saks Fifth Avenue featuring the 3D's
of Dining, Drinks and Designers enticed over 600 attendees
to enjoy the festivities.
On Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm, guests sampled fantastic appetizers and
desserts from 26 local restaurants, as well as a variety of beverages, while they searched for
prize cards located throughout the store using a special 3D key. Winning cards contained
gift certificates to Saks. In addition, guests entered a raffle for
art, jewelry, purses, and sporting events.
Key to the Cure benefited Gateway to Hope and The Siteman
Cancer Center for the fourth consecutive year. Additionally, for
four shopping days after the event, Saks donated two percent
of sales and proceeds from the Key to the Cure designer t-shirt
to the organizations. This year’s event raised much needed
funds for Gateway to Hope and the Siteman Cancer Center.
Saks Fifth Avenue holds the annual event to raise awareness
about women’s cancers. GTH board members Jan Goldstein
and Pam Toder co-chaired the event for the fourth consecutive
year. Pam and Jan believe that Key to the Cure is a wonderful
way for people to learn about Gateway to Hope’s mission. “It’s
not just the guests who become aware of Gateway to Hope.
Over the years, our mission has made its way to the businesses
which provide food, beverages, and flowers at this event, and
it makes them want to get involved.”
Key to the Cure featured fabulous raffle prizes
Co-Chairs - Natalie Handelman, Jan Goldstein, Susie Knopf and Pam Toder
None of this would have been possible without the
hard work of Saks’ Doug Moss, Debbie Derrick,
Colleen O’Neill and Vangie Degner; GTH co-chairs
Jan Goldstein and Pam Toder; and Siteman co-chairs
Susie Knopf and Natalie Handelman. In addition, we
greatly appreciate the support of Missouri
Professionals Mutual, Newman Bronson & Wallis,
Peabody Investments Corporation, Lenette Realty and
Investment Co., Mrs. Maurice Goldberg, Jan and
Rand Goldstein, Natalie and Neil Handelman, US
Bank, Smith Barney, Susie and Rick Knopf, Hannah
and Lawrence Langsam, Peggy and Don Ross,
