VMT – Radial Nerve
Ask the patient to hold his hand
as shown in the figure .
To test for weakness , try to
press the hand in the direction of
the arrow , while the patient tries
to hold it in the test position .
When the patient tries to resist ,
press on the back of the hand
and not the fingers .
Grade the muscle power as
S / W / P .
VMT – Lateral Popliteal Nerve
Ask the patient to pull up his foot
fully , as shown in the figure .
To test for weakness , try to
push the foot downwards as
shown in the figure , while the
patient tries to hold it in the
test position .
Grade the muscle power as
S / W / P .
