Objectives<br />

Training of tutors in Activate programmes for those working in the<br />

area of mental health or learning disabilities.<br />

To promote mental health with disadvantaged groups.<br />

Outcomes: Planned Activate classes.<br />

Tutor currently undergoing training.<br />

The Activate <strong>Health</strong> programme has been developed by the <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Promotion</strong> <strong>Agency</strong> for Northern<br />

Ireland and is delivered by trainers and tutors in <strong>Health</strong> and Social Services Trusts and the community.<br />

Objectives<br />

1. Stress Management – Educational inputs into training course,<br />

advising on the identification and management of work related<br />

stress issues.<br />

2. Post Incident Support – Ongoing support following involvement<br />

in traumatic incidents. Involves education, support and treatment<br />

as required, particularly psychological.<br />

• Maintain and promote health and wellbeing<br />

• Assist in maximising coping mechanisms in long-term.<br />
