Objective<br />

To demonstrate compliance with legal requirements, company policies and standards in<br />

relation to occupational health.<br />

How this can be achieved?<br />

‣ Identifying regulatory requirements.<br />

‣ Development of occupational health assessment standards related to the <strong>Drilling</strong><br />

Contractor’s Scope of Operations.<br />

‣ Identifying occupational health hazards related to the <strong>Drilling</strong> Contractor’s Scope of<br />

Operations, including client and third-party activities at the Rig.<br />

‣ Developing and implementing location specific occupational health controls in the<br />

workplace.<br />

‣ By establishing processes to review and update the plan.<br />

What in the <strong>Drilling</strong> Contractor’s Management System demonstrates assurance to others that<br />

this objective can be achieved?<br />

‣ Details of the <strong>Drilling</strong> Contractor’s occupational health policies and objectives.<br />

‣ Details of the arrangements <strong>for</strong> maintaining and applying Material Safety Data Sheets<br />

(MSDS).<br />

‣ Details of the occupational health controls in the workplace.<br />

2.3.8 <strong>HSE</strong> Procedures<br />

Objective<br />

To demonstrate that relevant operating procedures are available which define how <strong>HSE</strong><br />

tasks and activities should be per<strong>for</strong>med.<br />

How can this be achieved?<br />

‣ Determining the <strong>HSE</strong> tasks and activities that require written procedures.<br />

‣ Developing procedures that are relevant, clear, concise and unambiguous.<br />

‣ Ensuring that <strong>HSE</strong> procedures are implemented, used, and monitored.<br />

‣ Periodically reviewing <strong>HSE</strong> procedures.<br />

What in the <strong>Drilling</strong> Contractor’s Management System demonstrates assurance to others that<br />

this objective can be achieved?<br />

‣ Arrangements <strong>for</strong> developing, maintaining, implementing and reviewing written <strong>HSE</strong><br />

procedures.<br />

2.3.9 <strong>HSE</strong> Communication<br />

Objective<br />

To demonstrate that there is a suitable meeting structure <strong>for</strong> communicating <strong>HSE</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

throughout the organisation.<br />

How can this be achieved?<br />

‣ Establishing an <strong>HSE</strong> communication structure <strong>for</strong> sharing <strong>HSE</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation companywide.<br />

this objective can be achieved?<br />
