Selected properties of the investigated grain<br />
The porosity, φ, and gensity, ρ, of the samples change linearly with water<br />
content, θ, the table contains the related regression equations. The grain samples<br />
of various water contents and homogenous wetting were obtained by mixing<br />
grains with water and leaving in 20 ±3 °C for 48 hours.<br />
The relations between the refractive index, n = ε , and volumetric water<br />
content, θ, and related regression lines are presented in Fig. 3.<br />
