Africa in World Politics<br />
Onaiwu W. Ogbomo is pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> History and <strong>African</strong>a<br />
<strong>Studies</strong> at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo,<br />
Michigan. He received his PhD from Dalhousie University,<br />
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was a post-doctoral<br />
fellow at the Frederick Douglass Institute for <strong>African</strong> and<br />
<strong>African</strong> American <strong>Studies</strong>, University <strong>of</strong> Rochester,<br />
Rochester, New York. He previously served as a faculty<br />
member at Bendel State (now Ambrose Alli) University,<br />
Ekpoma, Nigeria; North Carolina Central University,<br />
Durham, N.C.; Allegheny College in Pennsylvania; and<br />
Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.<br />
Segun Ogunbemi<br />
Segun Ogunbemi is in the Department <strong>of</strong> Philosophy at<br />
Adekunle Ajasin University.<br />
John Babatunde Bamidele Ojo<br />
Dr. John Babatunde Bamidele Ojo received his PhD at<br />
Howard University in Washington, DC. He is the author <strong>of</strong><br />
“Confronting the Future: An Advocacy Agenda and<br />
Program,” in Toyin Falola and Ann Genova, Ed., The<br />
Yoruba Transition: History, Values, And Modernity and<br />
also a pending publication, “The Impact <strong>of</strong> Globalization<br />
on International Security,” in Bessie-House Soremekun<br />
and Toyin Falola, Ed., Globalization and Sustainable<br />
Development in Africa. His research interests include<br />
International Security, Arms Control and Disarmament,<br />
Global Politics, and International Relations. Currently, he<br />
works for the Government <strong>of</strong> the District <strong>of</strong> Columbia.<br />
Austin C. Okigbo<br />
Austin C. Okigbo is currently a visiting assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
in the College <strong>of</strong> Arts and Letters at the University <strong>of</strong><br />
Notre Dame. An ethnomusicologist by training, he focuses<br />
on music in <strong>African</strong>, <strong>African</strong> American, and <strong>African</strong><br />
