A “HOPPING” SUCCESS

Parents, grandparents and children alike
came together on Saturday April 4 at the
Golden Valley Country Club for the
Junior League of Minneapolis’ second
annual Bunny Brunch. A special thank you
goes out to the League members who
donated their tickets to allow a Make-A-
Wish family of seven to attend the Brunch.
It was a special morning for them.
The morning started off with the Easter
Bunny greeting the kids for a photo
opportunity while the little girls showed
off their new Easter dresses. As the
families moved into the ballroom they
helped themselves to a delicious buffet
breakfast of a variety of breakfast breads,
sliced fruit, eggs, sausage and waffle bar
with all of the toppings including
chocolate chips and whipped cream!
After the meal was over the children were
able to participate in a variety of activities
including face painting, craft making and
in an egg hunt, which proved to be the hit
of the morning. The children were
brimming with excitement while they
scooped up as many eggs as they could fit
into their baskets. Each child also received
a gift, which they were able to choose
themselves from the Tower of Toys.
Finally to end the morning five lucky
families won a prize drawing! Some of
the prizes included a birthday party for
eight little girls at the American Girl store
at the Mall of America, a photo session
for the entire family and an enormous
remote control car that a child of any
age would enjoy. As the families collected
all of their gifts, crafts and prizes they
left smiling, having spent a wonderful
spring morning.
2009 AMERICAN GIRL FASHION SHOWS:
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR!

The American Girl Committee would like to thank this year’s
sponsors and all of the Junior League of Minneapolis members
who contributed as volunteers, audience members and model families
for the eighth annual American Girl Fashion Shows! We had a great time
at the Mall of America, just a short distance from the new American Girl
Store with over 300 models, 1100 audience members and countless
smiles. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
