HALF OF THE LEAGUE YEAR
By: Becky Brown, Transfer Committee Chair
On January 13, Kristine Jessen, transfer member,
Megan Foley, committee member, and I, joined 90
other enthusiastic Leaguers at Bridging’s Bloomington
location. The transfer group was even more widely
represented at the second Impact Day event on Saturday
January 17. Transfer members Christina Barberot, Lauren
Cadd, Alicia Riggins, Caroline Eachus and Jennifer Smith,
along with Natalie Migliarini, committee member, turned
out to make their impact at Second Harvest. It was clear
both events were great experiences for everyone involved.
We have an amazing group of transfers this year and I’m
sure you’ll see more of them at league events in the future!
The transfer group is also gearing up for some fun social events to hopefully spice up the cold
winter months. Our agenda so far is as follows:
Thursday February 19 – Transfer group outing to SEGG’s Third Thursday Event at Brave
New Workshop (Uptown, Minneapolis)
Saturday March 28 – A Wine Tasting Soiree (Home of Leslie Niemoeller, Minnetonka)
*Spouses/Guests Included*
In addition to socializing and getting to know all of our talented transfer women, the committee
is also working on some other fun social ideas as well as working to schedule volunteer shifts for
one or more of the following: Helping Hands, Books 4 Kids and American Girl.
PAULA SMOOT OGG
