n Errol Morris points his patented Interrotron
camera at former Defense Secretary Donald
Rumsfeld in what in many ways is a sequel of
sorts to his Oscar-winning Robert McNamara
documenarty, The Fog of War. As is usual with
Morris documentaries, the production design,
arresting visuals, and arresting musical score
by frequent Tim Burton–collaborator Danny
Elfman (replacing Morris’s usual contributor
Philip Glass) are standouts. Will the film have
the same success on the art house circuit as
The Fog of War? That is a known unknown.

ALAN PARTRIDGE
n Titled Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa in the
U.K., Steve Coogan (Philomena) brings his
popular radio and television character to the
U.S. for the first time. Partridge, as played
by Coogan, is an insecure and vain minor
media personality. In this outing, Partridge
and some cowrokers at a local radio station
are taken hostage by a disgruntled former DJ
(Colm Meaney) who was sacked by the new
owners at Partridge’s urging to prevent his
own redundancy.

Animation franchise, this IMAX nature
documentary, narrated by Morgan Freeman,
explores the world of lemurs, those endangered
primates that arrived on the island
republic millions of years ago, though not in
a crate with Ben Stiller and Chris Rock. The
film features renowned primatologist Patricia
Wright who has studied lemurs for 26 years
on their island home. And one thing lemurs
have going for them: they like to move it
move it.
