A concentration is required, with a minimum of 12 hours of approved courses that are not required for the Chemistry Degree. There is a degree of freedom<br />
in selecting the courses for this requirement; however, approval of the student’s faculty advisor and Chemistry and Biochemistry Faculty are required.<br />

Humanities and social science electives must be selected from approved 300 or 400 level series courses, including one humanities course and one social<br />
science course.<br />

Chem Senior Research/Seminar II can be elected for a maximum of six credits, a minimum of two credits.<br />
5<br />
Chemistry majors are required to complete a minimum of 46 chemistry laboratory contact hours; equivalent to 460 cumulative hours spent in the lab.<br />
