Our Roadmap to the Future
Our Corporate Strategy identifies a
range of key result areas and
corresponding destinations that we,
as an organisation, wish to achieve.
Its accompanying document, the
Corporate Strategy Implementation
Plan, is a high level document that
spans organisational corporate
priorities and lists a range of actions
over a five-year horizon.
Council’s Corporate Strategy 2004 was developed and is being
used as a road map to equip the organisation with the necessary
systems, processes and technology to support community
expectations and deliver the best possible services to the community
into the future. The strategy was completed in November 2004,
with 2005/06 the first full financial year of its implementation.
Our Corporate Strategy identifies a range of key result areas and
corresponding destinations that we, as an organisation, wish to
achieve. Its accompanying document, the Corporate Strategy
Implementation Plan, is a high level document that spans
organisational corporate priorities and lists a range of actions
over a five-year horizon.
For 2005/06 we listed 54 actions for completion, commencement
or continuation, with set milestones to be achieved throughout
the year. Of these, 40 (74 per cent) were successfully completed
or had milestones completed where the project was a
continuing project. Of the 14 incomplete actions,
five of them were purposely deferred for a period
of 12 months or more, as part of the review
of individual projects.
Our Corporate Strategy 2004 will be
be reviewed in 2006/07.
