to the construction market. Expanding on the<br />

strong consumer acceptance of our revolutionary<br />

Twist and Pour ® containers in the U.S., we<br />

introduced the concept in Brazil.<br />

At a popular national trade show for hobbyists,<br />

we launched several new products in<br />

our market-leading Colorgin ® aerosol brand<br />

geared towards the do-it-yourself customer. In<br />

the industrial maintenance category, our<br />

Sumaré ® brand remains the market leader and<br />

is sold through our company-operated stores<br />

and direct to end-users. The Sumaré ® brand<br />

was recognized by sugar producers as the leading<br />

supplier of protective coatings in Brazil.<br />

CHILE – In addition to our existing solid distribution<br />

platform, the <strong>Sherwin</strong>-<strong>Williams</strong> ® brand<br />

was launched in the Chilean retail channel,<br />

which includes home centers, mass retailers<br />

and hardware stores. This important event has<br />

significantly increased our national retail<br />

opportunity and adds to our current retail,<br />

wholesale and direct sales mix of architectural,<br />

aerosol, industrial and marine, wood and<br />

chemical coatings products. In support of this<br />

launch, a completely new product line with<br />

distinctive new labeling was developed, as well<br />

as innovative point-of-purchase displays<br />

intended to enhance our image and leverage<br />

<strong>Sherwin</strong>-<strong>Williams</strong> awareness and perception.<br />

In Valparaíso City, the most important<br />

port in Chile, we have partnered with the<br />

local municipality to paint 83,000 residences<br />

with <strong>Sherwin</strong>-<strong>Williams</strong> ® paint and restore<br />

Best Companies to Work For” survey. The<br />

survey rankings are compiled by Great Places<br />

to Work Institute Inc., and the results are<br />

published in 20 countries.<br />

The award winning design of our Twist<br />

and Pour ® container has been modified for<br />

local use and is now available in our Loxon ®<br />

product line. This launch is consistent with<br />

our desire to penetrate the do-it-yourself<br />

home market, where we also introduced<br />

“<strong>Sherwin</strong>Manía,” an integrated color concept<br />

designed to connect with end-users.<br />

In Rosario City, we opened a new color<br />

studio, which attracted more than 600 attendees<br />

to its grand opening, including<br />

architects, designers, engineers, contractors,<br />

painters and consumers.<br />

ARGENTINA – For the second consecutive<br />

year, Clarín Newspaper listed <strong>Sherwin</strong>-<br />

<strong>Williams</strong> among its annual top 60 of “The<br />

UNITED KINGDOM – During <strong>2005</strong>, Ronseal<br />

received accreditation as an “<strong>Investor</strong> in<br />

People,” a UK quality standard that establishes<br />

a set of best practices for improving an<br />

organization’s performance through its<br />

employees.<br />

In the U.K., Ronseal grew market share<br />

levels to all-time highs and experienced<br />

growth in 16 of the 17 product categories in<br />

which it competes. We also successfully<br />

introduced a new product called 5 Minute<br />

Fence Finish. The creation of a 90,000-<br />

square-foot warehousing and distribution<br />

center will consolidate our U.K. operations<br />

and facilitate our continued growth.<br />

As part of its international business development<br />

strategy, Ronseal Limited is<br />

re-launching its line of wood care coatings<br />

into the Italian market. We have partnered<br />

with a strong distributor in Italy and have<br />

already established a solid distribution platform<br />

for our products.<br />
