Modifying Printhead Tools
Reordering Printhead ID Numbers
The printhead ID number assigned to each printhead tool can be changed
using the following steps:
1. Select Job → Configure Printhead IDs.
The printhead ID numbers appear on the left end of the printhead
tools and the cursor changes to an “H.” If the job uses monochrome
or spot color, the print arrays change to light gray.
If the job uses process color, four color rectangles representing the
four color planes appear in the print array of the printhead tool. Each
rectangle represents one printhead and one color plane within the
process color RIP.
2. Decide on the order of the printheads.
3. Begin reordering the printhead ID numbers by clicking the printhead
tool to be numbered printhead 1.
The printhead ID number for that printhead tool changes to H1.
4. Click the printhead tool to be numbered 2. The printhead ID number
for that tool changes to H2.
Note:
A printhead ID number cannot exceed the number of printheads in the
printing system configuration. If the number of clicks exceeds the number
of printheads in the configuration, the numbering starts over with H1.
5. When you are finished reordering the printhead ID numbers, select
Job → Configure Printhead IDs again to disable the command.
