The third annual X clinic was held<br />

on Cedar <strong>Lake</strong>, WI. on June 13th -<br />

15th. Twenty-one of 64 sailors<br />

were girls enjoying this great sport.<br />

But not to be overlooked, the<br />

gentlemen had exceptional<br />

competition at the three-day event.<br />

Thirty-two boats were taught by<br />

Matt Prange, Liz Prange, Kelly<br />

Reese, Katie Eckert, Patty<br />

Schmidt, Dave Bandstra and Tom<br />

Hodgson. The weather cooperated with<br />

a selection of light and heavy air and<br />

threatening storms. Cedar members<br />

provided great meals and support.<br />

At the end of the event, the six-race<br />

regatta had Beaver’s Chris and Greta<br />

Banholzer as champions. Pewaukee’s<br />

Drake and Charlie Sprinkman sailed<br />

consistently to second. Cedar’s<br />

Patrick Egan with Annie<br />

Sprinkman took third;<br />

Nagawicka’s Ryan Grosch with<br />

Alex Stuckart finished fourth and<br />

Oshkosh’s (via Fond du Lac)<br />

Sam Whealon and Jack<br />

Goudreau were fifth.<br />
