Clubs Co-operate DURING the war, the women in several country communities <strong>of</strong> Marathon County, Wisconsin, had formed auxiliaries to the county chapter <strong>of</strong> the Red Cross. These auxiliaries met faithfully every two weeks and' did the work assigned to them. With the signing <strong>of</strong> the armistice the necessity for their work ceased and they were reluctant to discontinue their meetings. But, as these meetings had given them an opportunity for social intercourse so much to be desired in county communities, at-the suggestion <strong>of</strong> the Home Demonstration Agent , these little groups re-organized as Home Demonstration Clubs. This is their constitution: Article One This organization shall be known as the Women's Club <strong>of</strong> . Article Two The object <strong>of</strong> this club shall be the mutual Improvement <strong>of</strong> its members in Homemaking and the communityjnterests <strong>of</strong> the day. Article Three or vicinity shall be eligible to membership in this organization. Article Four The Officers <strong>of</strong> this organization shall be a president, vice-president, secretary and a treasurer. The Officers arid an executive committee <strong>of</strong> three, appointed by the president , shall constitute a Board <strong>of</strong> Managers to conduct the affairs <strong>of</strong> the club. Article Five Sec. 1—There shall be regular meetings <strong>of</strong> the club every two weeks on Friday at 4:00 P. M. Sec. 2—The annual meeting <strong>of</strong> the club shall be on the first meeting in January, for the election <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers and transaction <strong>of</strong> other proper business. Sec. 3—The refreshments shall consist <strong>of</strong> two articles <strong>of</strong> food. Article Six Each member <strong>of</strong> the Club shall pay, on or before the first meeting in December, an annual fee <strong>of</strong> twenty-five (25) cents.
