CAL MIDDLE SCHOOL VARSITY BASEBALL WINS BIG AT JTOWN!!<br />
The CAL Middle <strong>School</strong> baseball team broke loose with two big wins at Jeffersontown<br />
Skyview Park on Saturday, April 27, defeating Conway, 18-3, and<br />
Meyzeek, 21-8.<br />
In the morning opener, CAL scored seven times in the top of the first inning<br />
and never looked back en route to the 18-3 win over Conway. The Centurions<br />
collected seven hits and took advantage of 12 Conway walks and four hit batsman<br />
to score at least five runs in every inning.<br />
Ben Huls, Cole Taylor, Evan Boggs, and Jordan Walp all reached base in every at<br />
bat by hit or walk for the Centurions. Boggs and Walp both had two hits and three<br />
runs batted in to go along with a walk. Huls, Taylor, and Nick Weaver all singled<br />
for the Centurions with Huls walking<br />
three times and stealing five bases.<br />

runs. Every batter for the Centurions<br />
scored at least one run in the game.<br />
Luke Price pitched for CAL, going the distance and allowing two hits while<br />
striking out five.<br />
In the second game of the day,<br />
CAL banged out 16 hits in only<br />
three innings and added 12 free passes from Meyzeek to score 21 runs in the 21<br />
-8 victory. The 21 runs and 16 hits were CAL’s high marks of the year. CAL<br />
scored four runs in the first inning, nine runs in the second inning, and eight<br />
more in the third before the game ended.<br />
