/ Relations with the capital market<br />
The <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN Management Board takes all reasonable<br />
efforts to ensure the observance of the principles<br />
of corporate governance in all aspects of the Company<br />
business. As a public company listed on the Warsaw<br />
Stock Exchange, <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN observes all the principles<br />
recommended by the code of “Good Practices of Companies<br />
Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.”<br />
The Company takes a number of measures to streamline<br />
communication with its environment. In order to reach<br />
a broad range of recipients we apply modern technologies<br />
of communication with representatives of the capital<br />
market. We organise live online transmissions of press<br />
conferences after each important event in the Company,<br />
such as the publication of quarterly results, announcement<br />
of strategy, or General Meetings of <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN Shareholders,<br />
with simultaneous translation into English. Recordings<br />
of such transmissions, in the form of multimedia files, are<br />
available on our website: www.orlen.pl.<br />
Relations with the Company shareholders, potential inve stors<br />
in its securities and stock exchange analysts are a priority<br />
for the Management Board. The President, Vice President<br />
and Members of the Management Board are the main<br />
people contacting the capital market. In order to provide<br />
all interested parties with equal access to information,<br />
all information communicated outside of the Company’s<br />
official position is prepared in Polish and English. Such<br />
information is also published on the corporate website.<br />
In December 2009 a revised <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN website was<br />
launched under the same Internet address www.orlen.<br />
pl. The portal based on a new technology offers a new<br />
service for Company shareholders, investors and market<br />
analysts. It includes a lot of modern tools and information<br />
about the Company corresponding with state-of-the-art<br />
market standards.<br />
There are, among others:<br />
<strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN runs its corporate website in Polish and<br />
in English. It provides information necessary for investors<br />
and other stakeholders of the capital market. The website<br />
offers information on dates of General Meetings, draft<br />
resolutions, as well as the entire set of documents presented<br />
to shareholders at General Meetings. The portal<br />
also provides a special form enabling the users to contact<br />
the Company about matters related to General Meetings.<br />
In accordance with the code of “Good Practices of Companies<br />
Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange” General<br />
Meetings are attended by members of the <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN<br />
Management Board and the Supervisory Board. Media<br />
representatives are also invited to every General Meeting.<br />

of financial ratios for the Company at different<br />
time intervals;<br />
• interactive charts and tables of stock-exchange quotations<br />
for <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN shares with a return on investment<br />
calculator;<br />
• special form to contact the Company on matters related<br />
to General Meetings in accordance with the latest provisions<br />
of the Polish Code of Commercial Companies;<br />
• possibility of subscribing to various <strong>PKN</strong> ORLEN newsletters,<br />
including the latest information from the investor<br />
