Cultural exchange
As an internationally recognized
University, PolyU has been a gateway
to bridge institutions on the mainland
and overseas. The University
has established student exchange
programmes with over 200 renowned
universities in 25 countries and cities.
Each year, the University receives
about 550 international students,
and the same number of students
are sent overseas for exchange. The
learning environment of the University
is becoming more global as these
international students, together with the
mainland students and local students
at PolyU, live and learn in the campus.
In addition, the University is running
a series of events to promote cultural
exchange every year. The PolyU
Innovation & Entrepreneurship Student
Challenge, for example, broadens the
cultural outlook and unearths students’
entrepreneurial potentials, which helps
to elevate their overall competitiveness.

What is most important for persons like me who have been in the tourism industry for many years? I think what we need is
continuously enriching our knowledge and upkeeping with the development of the industry. During the two years of studies,
I got lots of useful information particularly that from overseas teachers. The world trend of tourism and its information given
by the teachers have been very insightful and useful for me.
