The four day event, held during the last week before
Easter in Kingston, saw PUMA sponsored
high schools on the six first places in the boys’
ranking, underlining that PUMA’s school programs
and grass roots initiatives bear fruit and
help to cement that Jamaica’s world dominance
in sprinting events is not going to end anytime
soon!
PUMA’s history with Jamaica dates back to 2001,
when we first entered a partnership with the Ja-
maica Olympic Association (JOA). In 2002, PUMA
began to partner with the Jamaica Athletics Administrative
Association (JAAA) which oversees
all of the Jamaican track & field matters and
athletes. In addition to these affiliations, PUMA
helps to develop young talent through the sponsorship
of 8 high school track and field programs.
