IGETC – GENERAL
INFORMATION
The IGETC is a pattern of courses
that California Community College
students can use to satisfy lower
division general education/graduation
requirements of any California State
California (UC) campus. There are
specific rules, policies, procedures
and limitations governing the
completion and use of IGETC.
Completion of the entire IGETC
pattern is generally not required
for admission to CSU or UC
(consult with an academic counselor
for admission requirements to the
UC and CSU systems). In addition,
IGETC may not be appropriate
for science majors. Complete
