English 110 students are required to register and pay for the one-unit corequisite, English 120, College Research Skills, designed to support the development of a research paper. English 120 requirements are reviewed in English 110. Students must enroll in English 120 at the same time as they enroll in English 110 (TR: CSU/UC TRANSFER LIMIT). Students may locate the CRN for English 120 sections in one of two ways. In the printed version of the Class Schedule, English 120 sections are listed after their corequisite English 110. To access the English 120 CRN in the web version of the Schedule, click on the blue CRN link for English 110. A new window will appear. Scroll down in this window, and locate the portion labeled Section Corequisites. The English 120 CRN is the number that follows. GREAT BOOKS: Great Books Curriculum courses include 50% readings from among the Core Authors List of classical works. The English Department offers GB sections in English 111 and sophomore literature courses. Great Books courses are designated by GB following the course number. Students who successfully complete 4 or more Great Books courses are eligible for an English Department Award. THE FOLLOWING ARE ENGLISH SKILLS CLASSES: English 60, 65, 70, 80, 103 and 109. Credit for English 60, 65, 70 and 80 requires completion of all coursework and eligibility for English 70, 80, 100 and 103 respectively. THE MULTICULTURAL ENGLISH TRANSFER (MET) PROGRAM: Offers a multicultural, multidisciplinary curriculum in designated sections of English 60, 65, 70, 80, 100, 103, 110 and 111 for students wanting to transfer or to complete certificate/degree programs.
