Class Closed/Full?<br />

You have several options:<br />

1. Search <strong>for</strong> an open section of the<br />

class at www.sbcc.edu/classes or at<br />

http://pipeline.sbcc.edu.<br />

2. Keep trying to add the class as seats<br />

or waitlist slots may open up during<br />

the registration period.<br />

3. Go to the first class meeting; if the<br />

instructor has available seats, request<br />

an Add Authorization Code.<br />

Remember to use your Add<br />

Authorization Code to register<br />

online be<strong>for</strong>e the add deadline.<br />

4. For online courses, students should<br />

contact the instructor.<br />

Add deadlines are strictly en<strong>for</strong>ced.<br />

Entering Add Authorization Code?<br />

From the Add/Drop Classes page on<br />

Pipeline, input the CRN of the class<br />

and click on “submit changes.” Enter<br />

the Add Authorization Code provided<br />

to you by the instructor. Click “verify”<br />

and then continue. Submit your<br />

changes, verify by reviewing your<br />

<strong>schedule</strong>, and pay fees.<br />

Time Conflicts?<br />

You will not be able to register <strong>for</strong><br />

classes that have time conflicts. Under<br />

special circumstances you can request<br />

approval <strong>for</strong> a time conflict of 10<br />

minutes or less if approved by the<br />

instructor and Admissions & Records.<br />

Prerequisites?<br />

Prerequisites are en<strong>for</strong>ced. Students<br />

may test into English 60-110;<br />

Math 1-150; Psychology 150; and<br />

all English as a Second Language<br />

(ESL) reading, writing or grammar<br />

courses. If you completed your prerequisite<br />

course with a grade of “C”<br />

or better at <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Barbara</strong> <strong>City</strong><br />

<strong>College</strong>, no action on your part is<br />

required. If you completed your prerequisite<br />

course at another college,<br />

you must submit a Prerequisite<br />

Challenge and official transcripts.<br />

Corequisites?<br />

You have attempted to add a course<br />

that has a corequisite. You must add<br />

the corequisite course at the same<br />

time. The CRN (Course Reference<br />

Number) of the corequisite course is<br />
