Key Departmental News Declassification Reviewer Training: As part ofthe Office ofNuclear and National Security Infonnation (ONNSI) continuing effort to maintain a higb-level ofproficiency for those entrusted with declassification authorities. ONNSI personnel will conduct a General Course for Derivative Declassifiers (OD) in Germantown, MD, on February 21 and 22. The DD course was developed to ensure that the individuals making declassification detenninations prior to the release of documents to the public are properly qualified. Options for the release of the report and the supplement arc being developed by the Materials Management Division, Defense Programs and will be sent to the National Nuclear Security Administration for review and approval. Training on classification/security procedures for the IAE forms was provided to the Bonneville Power Administration, the Southeastern Power Administration. the Southwestern Power Administration, the Western Area Power Administration, and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Project Office; the Offices ofNuclear Energy. Civilian Radioactive Waste Management, and Fossil Energy; and the Lawrence Livennorc National Laboratory, the Los Alamos Nation3:1 Laboratory. and the Sandia National Laboratories through a tclevideo conference. A video tape was made during this training session for sites that did not participate in the televideo conference. No further training by televideo is currently planned.
