authorized representative of the project proponent attended the said meeting. The<br />
<strong>Authority</strong> further noted that ample opportunity has already been afforded by the<br />
SEAC as well as SEIAA to the project proponent to present the project proposal,<br />
but the project proponent has failed to respond to the communication made by<br />
the SEAC/SEIAA from time to time. The SEIAA, therefore, decided to refuse the<br />
application filed by the project proponent and to convey the said refusal orders to<br />
him.<br />
Item No. SEIAA/31.<strong>05</strong> Application for obtaining environmental<br />
clearance for “DLF Premium Homes” a<br />
Residential Group Housing Project to be<br />
developed by M/s DLF Premium Homes Pvt. Ltd.<br />
at Vill. Khajurla, Distt. Kapurthala.<br />
The SEIAA observed that:<br />
1. M/s DLF Premium Homes Pvt. Ltd. has applied for obtaining environmental<br />
clearance as required under EIA Notification dated 14.9.<strong>20</strong>06 for developing<br />
a Residential Group Housing Project namely “DLF Premium Homes” in an<br />
area of 72,600 sq. m in the revenue estate of<br />
Kapurthala.<br />

2. The built up area is 1,22,290.15 sq. m for residential purpose and 58<strong>20</strong>0<br />
sq. m for basement. Thus, the total built up area is 1,80,490.15 sq. m, as<br />
such, project of promoter is covered under category 8 (b) of the Schedule<br />
appended to the said notification.<br />
3. The case of the project proponent was considered in 17 th meeting of <strong>State</strong><br />
Expert Appraisal Committee held on 17.1.<strong>20</strong>09, which was attended by the<br />
authorized representative of the project proponent and environmental<br />
consultant of the promoter company. After detailed deliberations in the<br />
matter, the SEAC observed that the project proponent is required to submit<br />
the reply of following observations before taking further necessary action in<br />
the matter and it was decided to defer the case till the reply of these<br />
observations is received.<br />
i. The project proponent shall submit approval regarding change of<br />
land use for the project site, from the Competent <strong>Authority</strong>.<br />
ii.<br />
The project proponent shall submit copy of approved layout plan<br />
from the Competent <strong>Authority</strong>.<br />
iii. The project proponent will submit details of land where the 126<br />
m 3 /day of treated sewage will be used for horticulture purposes, 150<br />
