4. The wastewater will be treated in a S.T.P. consisting of oil/grease trap,<br />
collection tank, primary clarifier, aeration tank, secondary clarifier, sand<br />
filter, ozonation and sludge drying beds will be provided to treat the<br />
wastewater. The treated wastewater will be utilized for flushing purpose,<br />
HVAC, horticulture and remaining will be discharged into sewer.<br />
5. The solid waste about 500 kg/day shall be generated and the same will be<br />
segregated at source. The recyclable fraction will be sent directly to<br />
recyclers and the remaining waste will be disposed off at the site<br />
earmarked by M.C. Bathinda and the Corporation has issued permission in<br />
this regard.<br />
6. The construction work of the project has already been started.<br />
The <strong>Authority</strong> noted that the project proponent has violated the<br />
provisions of the <strong>Environment</strong> (Protection) Act, 1986 by starting construction work<br />
of the project without obtaining environmental clearance as required under the<br />
EIA Notification dated 14.9.<strong>20</strong>06. Therefore, in compliance to Govt. of India,<br />
Ministry of <strong>Environment</strong> & Forests, New Delhi Office Memorandum dated<br />
16.11.<strong>20</strong>10, the project proponent is required to place the matter before the<br />
Board of Directors of the Company for starting construction work of the project in<br />
violation of the provision of the EIA Notification framed under the <strong>Environment</strong><br />
(Protection) Act, 1986 and is required to submit a written commitment in the form<br />
of a formal resolution to the SEIAA to the effect that the violation of the<br />
<strong>Environment</strong> (Protection) Act, 1986 will not be repeated in future.<br />
The <strong>Authority</strong> further observed that the project proponent is<br />
required to submit the following information / data before taking further necessary<br />
action in the matter.<br />
a) How much quantity of R.O. reject water will be generated and what will<br />
be the concentration of TSS and TDS in the same?<br />
b) Calculations showing as to what will be the conc. of TSS & TDS in the<br />
treated wastewater after mixing with R.O. reject water.<br />
c) Which mixing mechanism will be provided to ensure complete mixing of<br />
R.O. reject water and treated wastewater.<br />
d) Water balance chart for all the three seasons, i.e. summer, winter and<br />
rainy including R.O. permeate and reject water.<br />
