"The project proponent shall not install any tubewell for<br />

abstraction of groundwater required at the construction as<br />

well as operation stage of the project since the project<br />

proponent has mentioned in the application / presented<br />

before the Committee that the entire requirement of water<br />

will be met from the M.C. Water supply".<br />

The project proponent was requested vide letter No. 1765 dated<br />

17.5.<strong>20</strong>11 to attend the 31 st meeting of SEIAA on <strong>20</strong>.5.<strong>20</strong>11 to present the project<br />

proposal.<br />

Following were present in the meeting of SEIAA held on <strong>20</strong>.5.<strong>20</strong>11<br />

on behalf of the project proponent to present the project proposal.<br />

1. Sh. K.M. Gupta, GM of the promoter company<br />

2. Sh. Yashpal Jain, <strong>Environment</strong>al Consultant, M/s Ace<br />

Engineers & Consultants, Patiala.<br />

Sh. Yashpal Jain of M/s Ace Engineers & Consultants, Patiala, who is<br />

the <strong>Environment</strong>al Consultant for the project proponent and the name of his<br />

consultancy firm figures at Sr. no. 153 of the list uploaded by the MoEF at its<br />

official website, informed that:-<br />

1. A tubewell will be installed to meet with the requirement of water<br />

during construction stage and this tubewell will also be used to<br />

meet with the requirement of water during the period of failure of<br />

Municipal water supply in operation phase.<br />

2. The Bathinda block comes under safe category as per letter issued<br />

by the CGWA in case of M/s PACL India Ltd., for its residential<br />

township being developed in Bathinda block, as such, no<br />

permission is required to be obtained for abstraction of ground<br />

water since this site is also located in the said block.<br />

3. R.O. Plant will be installed to treat the ground water since the<br />

quantity of ground water of Bathinda Block is not potable in nature.<br />

The R.O. reject will be mixed with treated wastewater.<br />

4. The wastewater will be treated in a S.T.P. consisting of oil/grease<br />

trap, collection tank, primary clarifier, aeration tank, secondary<br />

clarifier, sand filter, ozonation and sludge drying beds will be<br />

provided to treat the wastewater. The treated wastewater will be<br />

utilized for flushing purpose, HVAC, horticulture and remaining will<br />

be discharged into sewer.<br />
