official website, presented the case before the SEAC.<br />
1. M/s Ansal Properties & Infrastructures Ltd., has submitted application for<br />
obtaining environmental clearance for developing a Group Housing Project<br />
namely „Golf Links-II' at Sector 116, Landran-Khard Road, Mohali as<br />
required under EIA notification dated 14.9.<strong>20</strong>06. The project of the<br />
promoter is covered under category 8 (a) of the Schedule appended to the<br />
said notification. The expected cost of the project is Rs. 166 Crores.<br />
2. The total plot area of the proposed project is 1<strong>05</strong>.72 acres and total built<br />
up area is 1,<strong>20</strong>,000 Sq. m. The detail of the total plot area is as under:<br />
‣ 29.93 acres will be developed as residential area containing 501<br />
plots<br />
‣ 13.56 acres will be developed as group housing area having 650<br />
apartments.<br />
‣ 5.090 acres as EWS housing, 4.83 acres for commercial shops/SCO<br />
having 189 such establishments.<br />
‣ The remaining area has been kept for public facilities/institutional<br />
buildings, park/green area, roads and open space.<br />
2. The site of the project falls within M.C. limits of Mohali and CLU has been<br />
granted by the Town & Country Planning Department for an land area<br />
measuring 99.54 acres vide letter no. 544 dated 27.1.<strong>20</strong>10, however, CLU<br />
for remaining 4.6771 acres proposed to be acquired by the <strong>State</strong> Govt. shall<br />
be approved after its acquisition and handing over the possession to the<br />
promoter.<br />
3. The total water requirement for the project is 1755 KLD, which will be met<br />
with tubewells and also municipal water supply will be made available for<br />
the complex. The requisite permission from the Central Ground Water<br />
<strong>Authority</strong> is yet to be obtained.<br />
5. The total wastewater generation from the proposed project will be about<br />
1300 KLD, out of which 250 KLD of treated sewage will be utilized for<br />
flushing and 1<strong>05</strong>0 KLD for plantation.<br />
6. The project proponent proposed to set up two identical STPs, in a phased<br />
manner. Each of the STP will have sewage handling capacity of 700 KLD<br />
consisting of collection tank, primary clarifier, aeration tank, secondary<br />
clarifier, pressure sand filter and sludge drying bed within the premises to<br />
