Fuel Economy<br />
TIPS RELATED TO FUEL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE :<br />
Basically, the fuel system of the vehicle consists of the<br />
following main components :<br />
1. Fuel tank 2. Fuel Filter 3. Fuel Pump 4. Fuel Rail<br />
5. Fuel pressure regulator and 6. Fuel injector.<br />
The following instructions are to be followed for reducing<br />
problems related to the fuel system.<br />
a) Avoid keeping the fuel tank empty and preferably keep it<br />
topped up as frequently as possible.<br />
Empty fuel tank may lead to inner corrosion of the<br />
tank. The rust particles thus formed may result in<br />
frequent clogging of fuel filters. The rust particles<br />
enter the system, resulting in malfunctioning of the<br />
MPFI system.<br />
b) Replace clogged fuel filters to prevent inconsistent fuel<br />
delivery from the fuel pump.<br />
