Water Draining Procedure from Sedimenter<br />

5. Before filling in fresh oil in the<br />

engine, clean the drain plug and<br />

apply sealant on threads.<br />

6. Refit the drain plug using a new<br />

sealing washer. Tighten drain plug<br />

to 5 mkg. torque.<br />

7. Fill, recommended quantity of<br />

fresh engine oil in the crank case<br />

and secure the oil filler cap in its<br />

place.<br />

8. Start the engine and run for a few<br />

minutes. The engine oil pressure<br />

indicator lamp should go ‘off’ after<br />

starting the engine.<br />

9. Check for engine oil leakages.<br />

10.Stop the engine and recheck<br />

engine oil level after a few<br />

minutes. If necessary add oil to<br />

bring the level to the upper mark<br />

on the dipstick.<br />

NOTICE<br />

Use of reclaimed oil is not<br />

recommended.<br />

Water Sedimenter<br />

Water draining Procedure from<br />

Sedimenter :<br />

The water sedimenter is part of the<br />

Fuel filtration system, fitted to the<br />

chassis frame, near fuel tank below<br />

the vehicle. It is used in the fuel<br />

supplying system in order to reduce<br />

the water content in the fuel provided<br />

to the DICOR system.<br />

A water sensor is fitted to the water<br />

sedimenter in order to indicate to the<br />

driver that the sedimenter has to be<br />

drained. Whenever water in fuel<br />

sedimenter Indicator glows in<br />

instument cluster, the water need to<br />

be drained from the sedimenter.<br />

Water drain operation to be done on<br />

both filter and sedimenter.<br />

Procedure :<br />

1. Stop the engine, and wait until<br />

pressure stabilizes.<br />

2. Unclip one of the hydraulic<br />

connections (either inlet or outlet)<br />

and the electric connector of the<br />

water sensor. 3 Place a container<br />

underneath the water sedimenter.<br />

3. Place a container underneath the<br />

water sedimenter.<br />

4. Unscrew the water sensor about<br />

2 - 3 turns<br />
